As members of the Virginia Beach City Council left to become members of the General Assembly, the sitting City Council needed to appoint members to replace the vacancies.  These appointments are often challenging, as different members of Council can favor different candidates.  Kirwin client, Shannon Kane, rose to the top in a field of 11 chosen for interviews out of 39 applicants.

Two appointed to Virginia Beach City Council

Two business owners were appointed to fill City Council vacancies created when Glenn Davis and Bill DeSteph were elected to the House of Delegates.  Shannon Kane will take Davis’ post representing the Rose Hall district. Brad Martin will take DeSteph’s at-large seat. They will start the $28,000-a-year positions early next year.  read more
